Mrs. Geri Urrutia, past national director of the SHIELD OF ROSES, and present director of the Glendale chapter, has been a counselor in front of abortion facilities for 25 years. Author of an extensive resource manual listing doctors, lawyers, counsel ors,adoption agencies, housing sources and other professionals, she coordinates assistance in all phases of helping women after they decide against abortion: financial, spiritual, medical.

Geri was given "The Protector Award" 1994 from the Right to Life League of Southern California for her service in advancing the cause of the sanctity and dignity of human life. Geri was also presented in 1993 with the Give Life Award for her mission to the unborn and giving life to so many. She was awarded the Angel Award for Pro-Life ministries in 1990 and was named San Fernando Valley Pro Life Activist of the Year for 1989.

Before entering the pro-life arena, Geri had been an office and warehouse manager for an importing firm. Since her duties had been ever expanding in the business of saving babies and helping women in crisis, in 1986 Geri took leave from the corporate world to devote her attentions full time to her pro-life ministry and presentations to teens.

Geri is married to Adolf for 37 years.
